Compassionate Advocacy Rooted in Experience
At J. Molina Immigration Law, we believe that immigration law is more than paperwork and petitions, it’s about people, families, and futures. Our firm was founded on the belief that every client deserves to be treated with dignity, clarity, and care.

About J. Molina Immigration Law
Founded in January 2019, J. Molina Immigration Law was created with a clear mission: to deliver high-quality, compassionate legal representation to immigrants and their families, especially those who are most vulnerable and often overlooked by the system. Named in honor of Attorney Velez-Molina’s mother, whose maiden name is Molina, the firm is a tribute to the strength, resilience, and sacrifice of immigrants whose stories deserve to be heard and honored.
We are a boutique law firm by design. Our small, dedicated team, led by Attorney Velez-Molina and supported by a fully bilingual paralegal and legal assistant, allows us to provide each client with direct, one-on-one attention throughout their case. You won't be handed off or lost in a crowd. When you work with us, you can trust that your case is in the hands of people who know you, understand your goals, and care deeply about your outcome.
Our firm represents individuals and families in a wide range of immigration matters, including family petitions, waivers, humanitarian relief, VAWA, SIJS, and naturalization. Every case is approached with the same level of professionalism, transparency, and heartfelt commitment-because at J. Molina Immigration Law, your story matters.
We believe language should never be a barrier to justice. That's why every member of our team is bilingual in English and Spanish, ensuring clear communication and comfort for the communities we serve.
Choosing J. Molina Immigration Law means choosing a firm that sees you, hears you, and fights for you with honesty and integrity-every step of the way.
About Attorney Velez-Molina
First-Generation Attorney. Fierce Advocate. Daughter of Immigrants.
Attorney Velez-Molina's journey into immigration law isn't just professional, it's deeply personal. As the daughter of Colombian immigrants and a first-generation attorney, she understands the fear, hope, and sacrifice behind every immigration case. That lived experience fuels her passion to advocate for others with empathy, honesty, and relentless dedication.
Licensed to practice law in the state of Connecticut since November 2015 and admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court bar in May 2023, Attorney Velez-Molina brings nearly a decade of experience and an unwavering commitment to justice. She founded her law firm to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those she serves, especially immigrants from marginalized and vulnerable communities, including members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Her practice is rooted in one core belief: clients are people, not case numbers. She takes the time to truly listen, understand each client's background, explain their legal options clearly, and fight strategically for the best possible outcome. Her clients often say it's this personal connection, and her unwavering advocacy, that makes all the difference.
